Today is the day for a bittersweet post. Bitter because building this store has been a crazy wonderful journey that is soon coming to an end for me. Sweet because I am supremely proud of our store, our healthy livestock, the look, the feel, and all of the amazing feedback we have gotten from our customers over the last few years. We cannot thank our customers enough for the continued support and raving reviews (70 - 5 Star reviews between Google and Facebook!!). We have made so many friends along the way.

With that being said, we have decided to put Art of Aquaria up for sale. This will include everything we have built! All aquariums, show tanks, filtration, inventory, maintenance customers, a basement full of used equipment, furniture, displays, website, all social media (which includes all of the above noted reviews/goodwill), etc. All of this coupled with the new aquarium opening at Union Station, the fast growth of the Tower Grove Neighborhood, and a price well below what it would cost to replicate this store, you will not find a better opportunity to open up an aquarium store of your own! You can literally walk in and start selling immediately. For any interested, please email me at I will reply with a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) for you to sign and then we can start to talk numbers. We are happy to open up our books, as it tells a good story ;)! The NDA will provide privacy to us, as well as the new owners.

Update on me and this decision: As many of you know, I got back into my investment analytics career at the beginning of 2019. This has been a great opportunity for me and my family as I have been able to work full-time and keep the store, but the responsibilities within the job continue to grow. Additionally, my family and I will be prepping/updating our condo over the next few months to get it on the market in early 2020. This will go along with a new home search and hopefully a growing family ;) Keeping the store thriving is work/time on top of everything noted and it is time for us to simplify and enjoy the next chapter in our lives. This is not an easy decision by any means, but it the right one for us right now. I still love doing this and will continue to have fun with it personally and I'm sure cross paths with many of you in the future.

Lastly, I want to thank my good friend and store manager, David Hedges. This store would not exist without him. Plain and simple. I am so proud of this young man that it brings tears of joy to my eyes while I am typing this. We have grown together and he has done an absolutely amazing job running this store in my absence, which I am sure some of you have noticed has increased throughout 2019. He is the little brother I never had. If you plan on purchasing this store, I would highly recommend keeping him around. He knows the store better than I do at this point.

Thank you all! Cheers!
